These terms govern your use of ORB and the related web and mobile interfaces. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please stop using ORB.
01Who we are
ORB is operated by Slice Tease Inc. (a placeholder legal name pending incorporation), a private company building an AI-assisted custom-beverage platform. Throughout these terms, "we," "us," and "ORB" refer to the same entity. References to "you" mean the individual account holder. For contact information, see section 13.
02What ORB does
ORB lets you compose a custom beverage in conversation with Sage, our AI assistant. Sage proposes blends from a curated inventory of bases, flavors, textures, functional ingredients, and finishes; you confirm a build, and the platform queues the build for fulfillment in a participating physical or virtual location. ORB is a software platform that orchestrates suggestion, composition, ordering, and pickup — it is not, by itself, a beverage manufacturer.
03Account creation
To use ORB beyond the public preview, you create an account with a first name plus a phone number or email address. Either contact field is sufficient on its own; we use it to verify ownership and contact you about your orders. You can change either at any time through the YOU dashboard. You are responsible for keeping your contact field accurate and your device secure — anyone with access to a signed-in session can place orders.
04Acceptable use
You agree not to: place orders you cannot pay for; scrape, automate, or programmatically interact with ORB outside its published API; impersonate another user; attempt to break the gate, the rate-limits, or any other technical safeguard; use ORB to harass, defame, or harm any person; or submit illegal, infringing, or sexually explicit content to public surfaces like DROPS. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Some functional ingredients (for example, alcohol) carry stricter age requirements set by local law.
05Orders
The current preview is non-transactional — no payment is collected. When live payment ships in a future release, you will agree to additional checkout terms that govern pricing, taxes, fees, refunds, cancellations, and pickup windows. Until then, "PAY" actions in the interface simulate the checkout flow for testing and do not charge any card. Quotes shown in the build preview are estimates only and may change before live launch.
06AI-generated content
Sage's suggestions are generated by large language models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your particular needs. You are always the final author of any build you place: nothing is fired until you explicitly confirm it. Build summaries, pour profiles, and nutritional readouts are computed from the underlying inventory and are accurate to the inventory data, but they are not a substitute for professional dietary or medical advice. See section 7.
07Health information
ORB is not medical advice. The compatibility engine reads any allergies, prescriptions, or conditions you choose to share to filter and flag ingredients. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition and does not replace your doctor, pharmacist, or registered dietitian. For details on how we handle health data you choose to share, see our Privacy Policy.
08Intellectual property
ORB and its underlying software, design, brand marks, and curated inventory are owned by Slice Tease Inc. You retain ownership of the formulas you create. By publishing a formula to DROPS, you grant ORB a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display the formula, attribute it to your handle, and fulfill it for other users. You may withdraw a published formula at any time; orders already placed against it will still complete.
09Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You can delete your account from the YOU dashboard. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, defraud the platform, or expose other users to harm. After account deletion, we purge personal data within 30 days, retaining only the minimum required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes (see Privacy Policy, section 11).
10Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ORB is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of ORB. Our total liability for any claim related to ORB is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or US$50, whichever is greater.
11Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States (a placeholder jurisdiction pending incorporation), without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and both parties consent to that jurisdiction.
12Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app, and the version stamp at the top of this page will increment. Continued use of ORB after a material change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you may close your account before the effective date.
